By default, the user who has installed the package will automatically get assigned to license.

Step 2: A new window is displayed which shows the details of the installed package. Click Manage Licenses.

The details of all the licensed users are displayed. Click Add Users and select the Users you want the License assigned to. Otherwise, click Remove multiple users to remove them.

Permission Sets

A permission set is a set of settings and permissions that allow users to access various tools and functions. Permission sets allow users to expand their functional access without changing their profiles. Through permissions sets, an admin allows different HyperGrid capabilities to different Users.

HyperGrid has two types of permission sets:

The following is a list of the main differences among these 3 access levels:

  • Std Salesforce Admin: These set of users can install and do initial set up of HyperGrid- Extended Related Lists such as managing license, permission sets and adding XRL component to a page through AppBuilder, adding more than one instance of a single Related List on a page.
  • Power users These are Salesforce users with “Extended Related List_Admin” permission set who can access additional functionality of HyperGrid such as field level settings, table level settings, default and custom actions settings etc.
  • Standard users: These are Salesforce users with “Extended Related List_Standard User” permission set who can access the basic functionality of HyperGrid such as adding, removing fields in related list view, creating multiple views of a Related object, applying server-side filters, applying for sort order and changing the sequence of fields in Related List view..

The next step is to enable permission sets for the users in your organisation.

Procedure

Step 1: From the Managed Licenses page, click on any User listed in Licensed Users tab.  Alternatively, you can also go to All Users page in User tab and select on any User you want to assign XRL specific permission sets.

Step 2: Click on the Permission Set Assignments tab, and then click Edit Assignments.

Step 3: Select a permission set from the list of Available Permission Sets, then click Add to assign it. Select the assignment under Enabled Permission Sets and click Remove to remove it. Click Save.

Results

You will be redirected to the home screen and you can see that XRL_Admin has been added to the Permission Set.
