Introduction

HyperGrid- Extended Related List (XRL) replaces Standard Related Lists with flexible, user-configurable grids that are very adaptable to Users' requirements. It helps in saving users' time, increasing their productivity, and expanding the insights from the Related Lists. HG- Extended Related components are customizable to fit unique users based on their role and activities pertaining to that role.  

This component works with Salesforce standard and custom objects. Any user can edit and alter the Related List view on a page through easy configuration interface, once it has been configured by Salesforce admin to the Lightning web pages.

Issues in Salesforce Related Lists

Let us go through some of the common challenges faced by Salesforce users while working on a Related List .

• Non- Configurable by Salesforce Users: Only a Salesforce admin can define the Related List view in an org by selecting at most 10 fields and define the default sort order for each column. Standard Users in Salesforce have to work with this admin defined view, and have no option to configure or manipulate Related List aligned to their requirement.
• Single Related List View Defined by Admin: Once admin defines the Related List configuration by setting up fields and applying sort order, this configuration will be common across the org. No user, including admin can change the view in real-time.
• Difficult to View and Browse: Related Lists display only 10 columns max in the view and support loading of 2000 records with no control over which records are displayed. User need to apply quick filters to get the useful records in the view.
• Limited Data Filter and Search Capabilities: Related List filters work only on the admin-configured columns, which is restricted to 10 columns at max. Further, these are non-persistent and can't be saved for subsequent sessions.
• No Ad hoc Exports: There is no functionality in Salesforce Related Lists that allow Users to export data locally from Related List. Reports feature is time-taking and require a separate UI and configuration to download data.
